Excellent discovery in Besse! La Rando restaurant offers entirely homemade cuisine, and the three dishes we tried were all delicious. The service is quick and attentive, the atmosphere warm and very pleasant. Nothing to complain about, everything was perfect. What a wonderful discovery this restaurant, "La Rando," was! I stumbled upon it quite by chance between a hike to Lac Pavin and a visit to Murol Castle! From the moment I stepped inside, I was immediately captivated by the atmosphere. The decor blends authenticity and modernity with remarkable taste, creating a warm and intimate ambiance thanks to the limited number of tables. The blues playing softly in the background on a giant screen adds a perfect touch of soul, without ever being intrusive. But what truly makes this place special is, above all, the welcome. The two owners exude a genuine and infectious hospitality, the kind that transforms a simple meal into a precious moment. I started with a refreshing and generous craft beer from Auvergne, which perfectly revived me after my morning's exertions. The menu proudly celebrates regional specialties, and I opted for the Saint-Nectaire pizza. This choice was a revelation: the artisanal crust, both soft and crispy, carried this noble cheese with rare elegance. To accompany it, a glass of Côtes d'Auvergne proved to be the ideal companion, with its light and fruity notes that burst delicately on the palate—a wine that needs no artifice to win you over. My only regret is not having had the chance to explore their dessert menu, which looked so promising. But that's just a matter of time, because one thing became clear to me: "La Rando" simply serves the best pizzas I've ever tasted. A place where you feel good, where the food has meaning, and where you already want to return before you've even left.
