Restaurant “La Place”: The place to eat. Linh, well-known in the culinary world, runs the restaurant “La Place” in one of the most beautiful and intimate corners of Montpellier’s old town. A visit is a must. The menu is very original, featuring only surprising creations, both among the appetizers and main courses. It’s simply not what you usually find in all those touristy restaurants. After an extremely tasty homemade hummus as an amuse-bouche, we were served a grilled country terrine with red onions as a starter. Delicious! I had never eaten grilled terrine before; it was a truly flavorful experience! For my main course, I chose the rigatoni with asparagus cream and trout roe—a dish that was both refined and simple, and fantastic. This is exactly how spring dishes should be prepared. The selection of wines by the glass is also excellent. In short: "La Place" is highly recommended, we will return.

We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance in a charming little square in old Montpellier. Quite simply, we loved everything! The food was excellent (we had the croquettes, the octopus, and the rigatoni). The restaurant owner was warm and very attentive. In short, a truly wonderful restaurant with quality ingredients and genuine hospitality. Go without hesitation.

I love coming to this restaurant in old Montpellier, ideally located on a charming square adorned with a central fountain, where it's so pleasant to take the time to relax. The welcome is warm and attentive, and the dishes are a real treat. The upstairs room, perfect for celebrating a birthday, offers an intimate and refined setting, enhanced by a magnificent vaulted ceiling.

Stumbled upon it by chance. The host was super friendly. But above all, the food was delicious. A varied selection.
