Very good restaurant. Well located. And very welcoming staff.

This exceptional restaurant was recommended to us. We have nothing but praise; it was perfect (excellent food, top-notch service with a smile 😃, in addition to all the staff). Kudos to the manager for all the organization. We'll definitely be back. I recommend this establishment 100%.

Everything was perfect: the menu, the food, the wine, the servers, and the view! We had a wonderful evening, especially with the small playground and the beach; parents could relax and the kids were happy.

We had booked in advance because it was very busy. The meal was excellent and plentiful. Just be sure to ask for a carafe of water, otherwise you'll pay €6.50 for a bottle. The setting is lovely, right on the beach. I highly recommend this restaurant; it's fantastic.

What a place! A really great find. A proper fish restaurant. I'm not giving it 5 stars because the men's restrooms are public, outside the building. And unfortunately, the toilets were clogged during my visit.

Superb restaurant with a sea view. The food and service were very good. It's a shame there isn't a smoking area, as unfortunately you have to breathe in the smoke while eating.

The food was delicious. The restaurant is located right on the beach. The price was definitely okay for the quality of the food.

Simply calling La Plancha d’Ilbarritz a good restaurant is an understatement. There are places you come to for the food. And there are places you want to return to for the special feeling you experience. La Plancha is precisely that kind of place. It seems to have no seasons or time. It's equally pleasant to come here for a leisurely lunch on a crisp winter day overlooking the ocean, or for dinner on a hot summer evening. The weather, the light, and the mood of the coastline change, but the restaurant itself remains consistently high. Everything here is remarkably harmonious: the location, the food, the attentive and lively service. But most importantly, the atmosphere. It can't be created by a beautiful interior or an ocean view alone. It's born of many details: the team's approach to their work, the mood of the guests, the conversations at neighboring tables, and that special ease that makes everyone feel part of this place. La Plancha d’Ilbarritz is more than just a restaurant. It's a place where life slows down for a while, where you want to linger at the table, savor the moment, and take your time. A must-try! The fresh fish is delicious. The monkfish was superb and very tasty, the langoustines perfect. The only slight downside was the baby squid, which was just average, swimming in too much oil… What a shame! Otherwise, the potatoes served with it were also delicious… I recommend the place, but to avoid disappointment, don't order the baby squid! The desserts looked fabulous, but we were already full. So go if you want to eat excellent fish overlooking the ocean, because the view is incredible!
