This bar is perfect for drinking absinthe on the terrace while watching Parisians stroll along Rue de la Roquette. The service was excellent as well.

A beautiful, historic establishment located in a vibrant, multi-ethnic neighborhood just a short distance from the Voltaire metro station. It's popular with locals and, in addition to its delicious cuisine, is renowned for its many variations of absinthe, which is served in the traditional manner, with the classic cold water fountain and a spoon holding a sugar cube. Highly recommended.

Unbeatable value for money in this area, however, there was almost an hour's wait between the starter and the main course, despite it being very quiet, and the vegetarian lasagna was cold in the middle. We've had better in this location.

Great for discovering absinthe. Really inexpensive drinks in a nice setting. A minor drawback: the food.

Excellent place for a lunch break. Fresh and generous portions (today I had a steak tartare and a large salmon salad), friendly and efficient service. The best value for money in the area.
