A typical Cantal establishment, located on the GR400 route, it allows you to eat even at 2 p.m. Friendly and accommodating owner, very good food, special mention for the brorioles 😁 I advise all walkers!

This hostel helps. The place is nice and we feel good there. The map is reduced. The prices are contained but so is what we get on the plate. Very average quality ingredients. We don't really enjoy it. The ice creams are good, though.

03/11/2023: A little getaway to the Mandailles valley suggests a gastronomic moment made in Auvergne. In this well-known restaurant in the valley, it seems you shouldn't miss the sweetbreads. Dish served only on Sundays. Otherwise, of course, the greatest specialties of this magnificent region are present on the menu: bourioles, trout with bacon, the famous Cantal truffade, cheeses, blueberry tart... The result is not exceptional but I could describe this discovery as correct. The sweetbreads are cooked without leaving the expected flavors in the mouth, the truffade does not really resemble a good truffade worthy of the name, that is to say with potatoes put in the pan and a little grilled and not cooked the water. But everything is good enough to still have a good time but without necessarily having the idea of ​​repeating the experience. The salmon bouriole, on the other hand, is excellent. As for the blueberry tart, don't imagine finding the flavors of small wild blueberries from Puy-Mary. The millefeuille advertised as a specialty of the house does not leave a memorable memory either. Just okay. But we can specify that everything is homemade and this should be emphasized. The service is pleasant and well-oiled.
