La Renardiere sur Gouvieux

Walking past this restaurant is like stepping back in time. The interior is lovely, beautifully decorated, chic and romantic. The terrace is pleasant and quiet. The food is refined, with just the right amount of elegance on the plate. It's a bit formal, but that's part of the restaurant's character. We were on the terrace and wanted to have a cigarette, but there were only a few tables, including ours. The owner asked us to move away to smoke, in a rather unfriendly tone and with a rather unfriendly look. Aside from that, everything was perfect, including the variety on the cheese board.

This isn't our first visit to La Renardière, and as always, we're delighted. The food is excellent, the service attentive, and the setting pleasant. A reliable place we always return to with pleasure. I highly recommend it!

Fabulous restaurant with excellent service. A cheese trolley, a rarity these days, as well as a digestif trolley. A truly wonderful place.

A tradition of quality and genuine service. A restaurant like few others. One of the best restaurants in the region, without a doubt.

Mixed feelings. We were much more impressed with the Château de la Tour. The prices are excessively high (over €30 for each course and starter) and the cuisine wasn't particularly refined, except for the amuse-bouches. The setting could use some updating.
