La Rotonde Restaurant sur Saint-Malo

Pleasant, clean hotel. Certainly not luxurious, but very practical. Attentive staff.

A wonderful experience at the La Rotonde hotel and restaurant in Saint-Malo. A warm and welcoming reception. The room was spacious, comfortable, and clean, with a pleasant atmosphere. As for the restaurant, the dishes were excellent, generous portions made with quality ingredients, and beautifully presented. (I had a seafood salad and my husband had a pizza.) A place where you feel at home and want to return. I highly recommend it!

Three-night stay at the hotel. It's good value for money, but the room is functional enough for sleeping. The restaurant is nice, and you'll be a 3-minute walk from the beach and about a 40-minute walk from the city center (intramuros). There are quite a few shops near the hotel and buses to the city center. Note that there is no elevator to the rooms. I recommend it.

We'd barely arrived when we discovered two enormous beds patiently waiting for us. Then, we admired the view of the beach, so breathtaking we wanted to jump out the window and go for a swim in the gentle waters of the Sillon. Soon after, we lost the complimentary can of soda from the restaurant. Where was it? In our fridge, conveniently located between our two enormous beds, we found it, still perfectly chilled. In short, a minor wardrobe mishap, but it's all good, we'll forgive it.

Excellent pizza, well-cooked and well-made, with interesting flavors. Good, welcoming, and friendly service. Good value for money. Highly recommended.

Nice hotel, small room but sufficient for one night. When you open the door, you think it's perfect. However, the cleanliness is lacking. The shower head is disgusting, full of black grime around the jets. The soap dispenser is missing a lid, so it's impossible to wash with it open. Frankly, as the manager, you should ask yourself if you would like to find the room like that. The furniture is outdated and damaged. There's a dried-out, dead bug in the curtain. The sink makes a mess as soon as you turn it on. There's a musty smell that comes up into the shower, not to mention the moldy grout. The hallways leading to the room are cluttered with linen closets. What a shame, it ruins everything. The hotel entrance on the street side is spacious but not very inviting. The aluminum bins at the entrance are dirty; they might as well have left them out altogether. And upstairs, there must have been families with children, but they didn't stop. Plan for families with children to stay downstairs, as this isn't your fault. The welcome from the manager was impeccable. I think every review mentions... A response, but nothing is done or improved because it's always the same comments. It wouldn't take much for a small price to make it clean and new. The restaurant itself isn't too bad, the service is fast, and the waitresses are super efficient. But the pizzas are overcooked and have very little topping. You can tell the kitchen hygiene isn't great when you see the cooks coming out of the kitchen in dirty clothes and black gloves, which they use to touch everything, before going back in. On Saturday morning, breakfast was perfect, nothing to complain about: brioche, cake, fresh bread, pastries, fruit juice, coffee, fruit, compote, yogurt, cold cuts, cheese, and eggs. And a very warm welcome from the young gentleman. The manager speaks curtly; it's not easy to interpret her way of speaking.

A wonderful discovery! It's so pleasant to be served with such a warm welcome, and Lulu makes our meal a truly enjoyable experience. The dishes are beautifully presented, generous, and the food is homemade. I highly recommend this place, just a stone's throw from Rochebonne beach.

Superb welcome. The waitress Lulu was exceptional. I loved it! 😜 P.S.: The anchovies were super good. 🤪 As for the Niçoise ones, I don't know, go ahead!

The hotel is a bit old, the restaurant is decent.
