I went there 10 years ago, so I assume the owner must have changed, right? The name was exactly the same, so I went hoping for something better, but as expected, I was very disappointed. The Guobaorou was great because it was super crispy, but it was a shame that there wasn't enough sauce.

It's so delicious! The food takes a little while to come out, but...! The fried items are super hot and crispy, making up for it. The Mala Xiang Guo is salty, so it goes really well with the scallion pancakes, and it makes you want to drink a ton of beer.

I fell in love with this delicious three-course hot pot platter! The chicken feet were tender and falling off the bone, and the prawns and pig's trotters were stewed until soft and soaked in the sauce! This time, I ordered the sweet caramel-crusted garlic and mint chicken, which I can never get enough of.
Their freshly made handmade dumplings and crispy meat-filled flatbreads are generously portioned and authentically flavorful! They also have the Northeastern-style rice rolls, which I've had before. The egg, eggplant, and potato sauces are rich and flavorful, and wrapped in lettuce, they're incredibly delicious!
The sweet and sour pork is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with a milder sweet and sour flavor that's not too overpowering, making it a smoother option for those who don't like strong flavors. The rice rolls were so huge, I almost thought they were only 10 yuan!
Overall, this is the kind of place where you can easily order a main dish and a few side dishes and have a satisfying meal at very reasonable prices.

This place always makes the list whenever we say we want to eat Northeastern Chinese food! [Wow!] I tried their barbecue before, but later switched to their stir-fries, and they were all delicious.
🍲Flavorful Iron Pot Trio Platter
A huge hot pot with pig's trotters, shrimp, and chicken feet. The pig's trotters were springy on the outside and tender on the inside, the shrimp were incredibly flavorful, and the chicken feet were soft, tender, and fragrant. Eating all three together was so satisfying and perfect with rice!
🍢Braised Egg Tofu
This is my childhood favorite! The tofu's soft, chewy outer layer, coated in a rich, braised sauce, was as tender as pudding inside. It instantly transported me back to the Northeastern Chinese restaurant I used to frequent as a child—so comforting! [crying emoji]
🌿Garlic and Mint Chicken: A truly amazing dish. The outer layer was fried to a crispy golden brown, infused with the refreshing aroma of perilla leaves. The sweet and sour seasoning was incredibly appetizing, and the more you ate, the more addictive it became!
I've also ordered sweet and sour pork, colorful cold noodles, stir-fried tofu skin with green peppers, and meat pies here before, and they were all absolutely delicious! Every dish perfectly recreated the taste of Northeastern Chinese cuisine from my memories! The prices are also very reasonable; you can eat your fill for just over ten euros per person. [cute emoji]

After get off work, I came here for dinner with friends. We ordered hot pot, preserved eggs, and sweet and sour pork, all of which were very good! The hot pot had a lot of ingredients, including shrimp, chicken feet, pig's trotters, and vegetables. It was slightly spicy and went very well with rice. The sweet and sour pork was also decent. I hadn't had preserved eggs and meat jelly in a long time, and I really missed them. The only downside was that the storefront was a bit inconspicuous; I almost missed it QAQ

Perfect for a meal with friends, allowing you to sample almost everything this Northeast Chinese cuisine has to offer. Divine pork and chive binges, excellent lamb skewers, and even better, pork and honey skewers. Very good boiled or grilled dumplings (pork, beef...). Crispy pork in a perfectly balanced sweet and sour sauce. Superb Yangzhou rice and rice with braised pork belly and Mei Gan Cai. The vegetarian dishes are just as well prepared: sautéed lotus root slices, pickled cucumber salad sprinkled with sesame seeds, spinach salad with rice vermicelli... The decor is deceptively simple, and you feel right at home on this Rue des Vertus, which fancies itself a 1930s film set. Opened ten years ago: it's a bit of a shame to discover it when you live a 10-minute walk away, but oh well, better late than never! I can't wait to try it in winter. It must be a real morale booster, a bit like a mountain restaurant in Cusco or in the Argentinian Northwest, when the elements are raging outside. And that's where the word "inn" takes on its full majesty!

I've eaten at this hidden gem of a restaurant several times back when I was still a child (the sweet and sour pork is amazing!). It's located in a rather unassuming spot on the Arts et Metiers Chinese restaurant street in the 3rd arrondissement, but the Northeastern Chinese cuisine there is truly authentic. My Northeastern friend, who ate there with me, tried everything and said it tasted just like home cooking! The new "Flavorful Iron Pot Trio" is served in a quarter-sized iron pot, filled with a generous amount of pork trotters, prawns, and chicken feet. The meat is stewed until tender and flavorful, and it's accompanied by green beans, lotus root slices, and other vegetables. I personally loved it; I couldn't stop eating the pork trotters, chicken feet, and prawns! The spiciness is mild, so even those who don't eat spicy food can enjoy it. The Northeastern-style rice rolls and the "magical" shredded potatoes were also delicious this time, and very affordable—you can have a full meal for around 15-20 per person.

Fast service, generous portions, and a warm welcome even though we arrived late (2:15 pm for a 3 pm closing time). A truly excellent experience and very reasonable prices.

This was my second time at this Northeastern Chinese restaurant, and I was very satisfied again. The portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable. The stuffed pancakes were crispy on the outside and fragrant on the inside, with plenty of filling—highly recommended. The braised pork ribs and pig's trotters were incredibly flavorful and perfect with rice. The handmade dumplings had a firm texture, and the two fillings—sauerkraut and fennel—were very characteristic of Northeastern cuisine. The chicken stew with mushrooms tasted just like I remembered from my childhood. Finally, the dry-pot sea bass had a crispy skin and a moderate level of spiciness; it was incredibly satisfying with rice. I'll definitely come back next time.
