La Table D’Antoine sur Vichy

For my sweetheart's birthday, I treated us to a meal at La Table d'Antoine. So? The welcome was excellent. This was followed by a highly original house cocktail made right in front of us. Then came two "Experience" menus at €109 each... and a parade of dishes followed, each more surprising than the last, but all delicious. The combinations were daring, even unusual, but never in bad taste. It's an adventure worth treating yourself to, if only to discover a restaurant in Vichy that's truly worth the trip. The chef wouldn't disagree, acknowledging that, even if we all strive for perfection, it doesn't exist. In fact, if I had to offer any criticism, I'd suggest that if I were to return, the meal might be less "creamy." Too many dishes presented in the form of creams of all kinds. Halfway through the meal, we prayed there wouldn't be any more... but even though each individual cream was delicious, too much is simply too much. The menu would greatly benefit from being "less creamy." Aside from this easily improved detail, we were delighted with this wonderful discovery. A delicious Valentine's Day dinner with Japanese influences! The staff is lovely, and we were lucky enough to meet the chef. We had a wonderful time in a calm and pleasant setting, and we'll definitely be back ☺️ PS: Thanks again for the cappuccino!

We had lunch at Antoine's restaurant, a gift from our children, and what a wonderful discovery! The cuisine was refined and sophisticated, using excellent ingredients. The staff was very pleasant and professional. The chef even came to see us at the end of our meal, in a very informal manner. A truly lovely experience.

The food was good, but the service left much to be desired. We had slightly too high expectations for this restaurant, having heard so many compliments... We left disappointed. The price was too high for the service we received, as well as for some of the cooking. Update: The wait was far too long; we were tired and just wanted to go home. Waiting almost 20 minutes for the chef to come see us was starting to get a bit tiresome.

A truly wonderful time! Surprising and delicious cocktails, pleasant and unpretentious service, and superb, exquisitely refined cuisine. The Japanese influences enhance the ingredients without overpowering them. There were thirteen of us, and we loved it!

My favorite restaurant! A menu that constantly evolves with exceptionally creative flavors, a game for Sébastien Mehaux who also surprises with his humility. Everything is amazing; this restaurant, where each member of the family adds their personal touch, is a delight! As for the service, smiles, simplicity, jokes—everything is there to ensure you have a wonderful time. This restaurant eclipses all others and has nothing to envy from certain Michelin-starred establishments whose cuisine is aging or becoming so focused on complicated flavors that they forget the simple pleasure of "Wow, this is so good!" Bravo! But where are the Michelin stars? In any case, they're in your mouth, in your eyes, and in your heart when you leave.

A very warm, courteous, and relaxed welcome; lunch at a lovely table with plenty of privacy. The dishes had subtle flavors with many delightful discoveries, served on original tableware, and were generous enough to be truly enjoyed. Thank you for this wonderful experience.

We've tried this restaurant several times since it changed hands, and I must say we've been pleasantly surprised. We're transported to different culinary worlds, from Brittany to Japan, for example; the flavors are exceptional, and the quality of the ingredients is outstanding. Of course, the price reflects the quality of the experience, but after all, excellence comes at a price! We're surprised that, to our knowledge, the restaurant hasn't received any recognition from the Michelin Guide (a star, in particular), as it certainly deserves it. Keep up the good work!
