We had a great time at Caudalies and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves from beginning to end of the meal!

A delightful gastronomic discovery in the heart of Vichy — Les Caudalies more than lives up to its reputation. The setting is elegant without being stuffy: light wood paneling, soft lighting, white tablecloths, and an atmosphere that naturally invites you to enjoy a quality meal. The restaurant's signature dish is its modern take on French cuisine: the ingredients are carefully selected, the cooking precise, and the plates beautifully presented. Sweetbreads, a must-try local specialty, are treated with all the care they deserve. The extensive wine list complements the cuisine perfectly. The service is attentive, discreet, and professional — you feel taken care of without being intrusive. A top choice in Vichy for a special occasion or simply for a memorable meal.

There are restaurants you return to ten years later and find exactly what you came for. Les Caudalies is one of those. Solid, expertly prepared French cuisine served in an elegant, unpretentious historic setting. The service is warm, attentive, and top-notch. The wine list is remarkable—regulars rave about it. I particularly appreciated that the food remains accessible, in the best sense of the word: generous, sincere, and without unnecessary frills. A true home away from home. The kind of place that makes you want to come back, simply because you feel so comfortable.

Les Caudalies is undoubtedly the premier restaurant in Vichy. In a historic and elegant setting, this French restaurant offers refined takes on classic cuisine—pan-seared foie gras, sweetbreads, cheeses from the trolley, crêpes Suzette—accompanied by a remarkable wine list. The staff is warm and attentive, and the service impeccable. Regulars return year after year and are always delighted. Expect to pay between €40 and €80 per person, a price more than justified given the quality of the experience. Reservations are highly recommended.

A very nice restaurant, and a very warm welcome. The dishes are well-executed, but in my opinion, the basic flavors are too diluted by the sauces and side dishes, especially in the lobster and rum baba. The sea bass was also slightly overcooked. Good food, but still a little disappointing for the price.

Charming setting, warm and welcoming atmosphere, light and delicious cuisine. A lovely little gourmet interlude during our stopover between Normandy and Provence.

Moderately satisfied. The price/quality ratio is a bit too high for my taste. It's good without being original. The portions are generous. The price of wine by the glass is unreasonable. I asked two weeks in advance what the menu options would be, and I was told "it depends on the season, there will be 5 types of main courses," which is absolutely not true; we were presented with the regular menu.
