The food was okay, but nothing special, the prices were very high, and the desserts were definitely frozen (at €9.50, that's pushing it). The welcome was inconsistent depending on the customer (some were offered to "take your coat," while others weren't). Furthermore, the service was rather poor: the waiter didn't clear the cutlery between the starter and main course, there was no interaction, and again, the prices were very high for a set menu with few choices and no flexibility whatsoever. I do not recommend this restaurant.

Five stars in its category of traditional French restaurant. A provincial gem. A beautiful house in the heart of Chinon. A classic dining room with exposed beams. A decidedly traditional menu: coq au vin, duck breast, pike-perch fillet, scallops. Local specialties: dried pear from Rivarennes. All executed with skill, fresh ingredients, and a touch of flair. Two chefs. One specializing in savory dishes, the other in sweets. And each is talented. The result is perfect. The pleasure is undeniable. I will return.

A very pleasant surprise. Excellent food. Very good value for money. We had a great time and have no regrets. It's a shame they don't accept restaurant vouchers; incomprehensible these days. I recommend it.

A wonderful discovery! We had lunch as a family on Easter Sunday. The staff were pleasant and the service impeccable. The cuisine was refined and delicious, made with quality ingredients. The value for money was perfect; there's nothing to complain about. Located in the center of Chinon, near the castle, I highly recommend this place; you'll be delighted.
