La Table du Gantier sur Saint-Junien

First meal at this restaurant and we don't regret it. The meal was very original. It was very good and plentiful.

Back from vacation, we were able to book a table 😊, and we weren't disappointed. The ambiance, decor, and warm welcome were all excellent. A full plate meal is a nice touch. Everything was well-prepared, beautifully presented, and delicious. Served with bread from a local artisan baker—fantastic! It's a shame we didn't take any photos. We highly recommend this restaurant. Don't hesitate to go! 👍🏼

A wonderful discovery! We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the ingredients and the choice of dishes, which were perfectly executed in terms of both quantity and flavor. The decor was simple and rustic. The service was also attentive and responsive. We highly recommend this restaurant.

What a delightful time we had at this restaurant in Saint-Junien! The welcome was warm and the atmosphere truly pleasant. We savored dishes that were as beautiful as they were delicious. I particularly appreciated the elegant presentation, especially the starter with the shellfish nestled on a creamy bed and garnished with delicate herbs. Everything was perfectly executed. We will gladly return to try the rest of the menu. This is a place to discover without hesitation for lovers of fine cuisine.

This modest sized restaurant feels very spacious inside due to the unusual white pine panelling. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and the ambience is relaxed. I started with the duo of foie gras de canard which was excellent! Two pieces were chilled slices and two pieces were grilled “crème brulée” with a layer of sugar on top. Most creative as the cooked foie gras becomes the ‘cream’ - brilliant! My main course was veal kidneys (always a treat in France as you never see them on the menu in England) in garlic and parsley butter. Also very good, though slightly spoiled by the fact that the garde manger forgot to wash the lettuce (lots of gravel crunching - not good). The bread here is fantastic! Everything I visit France for. Dessert was a novel take on tiramisu involving crème chantilly, apples and pineau des Charentes in place of coffee and Marsala. Not really a success, but a noble failure.
