We were disappointed with the lentil and sausage dish; the lentils were undercooked and served with a wine sauce that clashed completely. But that's just my husband's and my opinion; everyone will have their own. The service was very pleasant. We arrived just before noon and were lucky because the terrace filled up quickly; it's best to book ahead.

A small restaurant located in the center of Le Puy-en-Velay, overlooking a charming little square with a fountain, the food is good. Excellent service, I recommend it 100%.

The ravioli gratin with Bleu d'Auvergne cheese as a starter was excellent, cooked to perfection.
The Auvergne salad and the Ardèche ice cream sundae perfectly met my expectations. No complaints about the service, I highly recommend it!

Unfortunately, the food did not quite live up to our expectations. Since Le Puy is famous for its lentils, we were especially looking forward to trying them. Sadly, the lentils were very, very bland in both dishes we ordered.
The starter with green lentils, a soft-boiled egg and salmon lacked seasoning and we had to add a lot of salt and pepper ourselves. The lentils in the red wine sauce in the main course were also rather tasteless.
Thankfully, the sausage was tasty, and the delicious Dijon mustard served with it helped save the dish.
The waiters were okay, but not particulliary friendly. Overall, a rather average experience, especially disappointing given that we expected the local lentils to be a highlight.

I see why this restaurant is rated a 4. But the reviews say get there early as it fills up. I ordered the classic sausage and lentils. Thankfully they put some excellent mustard on the table as the lentils were very bland. The sausage was good with the mustard. The atmosphere is lovely sitting outside on a busy square.
