Excellent restaurant. Small but friendly, in the Savoyard style. We tried the bertou, it was delicious. Efficient service with a smile.

Clearly THE best place if you want to eat fondue (especially the tomato one!!). The owner (who seems to be both a waiter and a cook) is very pleasant! Special mention for the owner's son, who is very involved in the restaurant and efficient.

A nice little restaurant. There were four of us. Everything was delicious, from the aperitif to the dessert. A friendly, family atmosphere. Note: reservations are not possible, so don't go too late!

A true gem with a real soul! An incredible experience! This is far from your average restaurant. It's a small, beautifully decorated establishment where you immediately sense its character and history. The owner runs it with boundless passion: he loves sharing his dishes in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We discovered Berthoud on our first evening, and it was a pure delight! We loved the ambiance and the food so much that we returned the very next day for a fondue. The price is standard for Châtel, but the quality is far superior: it had that little something extra that makes all the difference. A must-visit if you're looking for authenticity and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

25/02/2026: Not bad, you can order digitally via qr code. But I'm not a fan of self-service. Pity that so many places in France don't have a table service like in Austria.
