A place not to be missed. There were 6 of us with 2 teenagers and everyone had a great time. It's good and hearty at the same time and everything is homemade, so it's a real pleasure.
The boss is very nice and the atmosphere is great because it's not very big so we chat between the different tables.
Done without detour.

Small restaurant serving Savoyard specialties. The restaurateur is alone and takes care of the installation of the customers, the cooking and the service with a smile, very welcoming. The service may be a little long but that's normal when having to manage everything. The products are excellent, the dishes are very reasonably priced. I can only recommend this restaurant, a good address in Châtel.

We were exceptionally well received! I take my hat off because the waiter was also in the kitchen, well done! He was also so cheerful and friendly that we didn't dare tell him that we didn't like the dishes any better. The white wine diots were nothing like real white wine diots, I had the impression that they were cooked in water as were the onions, it was very bland. As for the tartiflette, the potatoes also tasted like water which is a shame, I think the ingredients were not cooked together. I therefore recommend it to have a good time but not to eat well.

Thank you to Sebastian for running such a classic Savoyard restaurant in the heart of Châtel. He doesn’t take reservations, it’s a first come first served place and once all his tables are full he will turn potential customers away, even before 8pm as we found on the Saturday we arrived at that time and on the Monday night that we got our table.
It’s a brave business model but clearly seems to work, and as many of the options on the menu are pre prepared, he is able to maintain the high quality of service and food.
I had the best tartiflette I have had anywhere in the Alps and the very good house red was priced at €13.00 a bottle, so we two!!
A really good meal with good service at reasonable cost. Will visit again.
