We came for a family meal and I'm delighted!
The staff is very friendly and welcoming, and the new decor is lovely.
Personally, I had sauerkraut as a main course, and it's the first time I've ever tasted such good sauerkraut in a restaurant (usually it's tasteless and undercooked...).
In short, I highly recommend this restaurant!

We stopped by the Alsatian Tavern for lunch today. We had a reservation for noon sharp. We were seated at a table of six. The service was incredibly slow. The local dish we chose to come to this type of place for was no longer available, even though we were the first to arrive and the first to order.
What a shame… The food was good nonetheless. It's a shame about the wait. Two hours for just one main course, without a starter or dessert, is far too long.

It's not the same old food, what a shame.
As for the service, we were forgotten in a corner. We had to ask for cutlery... I won't be going back.

The food was passable (I had sauerkraut boiled in water, completely tasteless). The service was very, very slow, although the staff were friendly, thank you to them. However, there weren't enough of them, and it was a bit cramped for dining (brasserie-style tables), and we were stuck sitting on our neighbors' chairs.

We went there as a couple on a Sunday at lunchtime, received a very warm welcome, and enjoyed a typical and cozy atmosphere. The dishes were typical of Alsace, made with very good ingredients.

We had a very good meal (the baeckeoffe was excellent), a great atmosphere, a pleasant place, and friendly, competent, and attentive staff. Very good Edelzwicker wine and good local draft beer.
