Good experience at the Alsatian Tavern:
I had a very good meal; the tarte flambée was delicious. The atmosphere was warm and friendly. The servers were also friendly and the service pleasant.
You can tell it's a very popular tourist spot. The only real downside (for me) is the lack of space between the tables; they're really very close together (20cm apart). So you have to like fairly cramped places. Personally, it's not really the kind of atmosphere I enjoy.
But it's still a good place to eat a good tarte flambée in Gérardmer 😊

Excellent food. Typical Alsatian dishes, a must-try. Reservations are essential if you plan to go on a weekend.

I went as a couple to celebrate my birthday. It was great, a very warm welcome, they wished me a happy birthday with a candle on the dessert. I really had a wonderful time.

I've dined at the tavern several times. The first time, they welcomed me with great kindness, even though they were full. I chose an excellent regional dish paired with a Pinot Noir. Alwin, my waiter, was incredibly attentive to me and his other customers. The other evenings didn't disappoint: a generous portion of sauerkraut, fragrant and flavorful strawberries, and delicious asparagus with wild garlic mousse. I highly recommend it.
