La Taverne du Port sur Marseillan

We visited the region and this pretty little port where the Taverne du Port is located. We received a very warm welcome, being wheelchair users. Unlike other restaurants where wheelchair users are not welcome, we were seated on the terrace. The atmosphere is friendly, attentive, and relaxing. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. I highly recommend it. The menu is excellent and well worth the trip. Bravo to the whole team, especially Madame Orgerit from Vendée!

We had dinner there one evening; the staff were very welcoming, and the food was excellent. They said there was a long wait, but we were still served quickly!

The welcome was fantastic; the waiter and the lady at the counter were charming. We had a lovely time; the gratinated oysters were a delight (a wonderful discovery), as were the raw ones. We received excellent wine recommendations. Our only slight complaint was that we found the prawns a bit pricey and would have liked to know their origin after asking several times. The setting is warm, authentic, and beautiful.

A true gem! We had a wonderful time at this tavern, which has an incredible soul. From the moment you step inside, you're immersed in an authentic atmosphere, almost like stepping into a real fisherman's hideaway, with a charming setting and a truly magical ambiance. The food is simply excellent: local produce, traditional cuisine, homemade dishes, and above all, remarkable quality. The menu is intentionally limited, but that's precisely what makes all the difference: few choices, but perfectly prepared ingredients and truly delicious dishes. The staff is absolutely lovely, welcoming, passionate, and attentive. You can feel their genuine desire to share their cuisine and their local produce. Special mention also goes to the wine cellar, with a very impressive selection of wines and spirits, both in terms of variety and quality. A real treat for connoisseurs! An authentic, warm, and gourmet spot, where you come as much for the delicious food as for a truly memorable experience. We loved it and will definitely be back! The promise was good, even excellent, but the result was disappointing. Perhaps we came at the wrong time or on the wrong day. Three of us came to enjoy oysters, the restaurant was half empty, and we waited 10 minutes for a menu. There was no comment, no apology, because we were left to our own devices. Then it took another 40 minutes to get fewer than 20 oysters. I shudder to think what it must be like when the restaurant is full. It's a shame, because the place is charming and the view of the harbor is perfect.

Fantastic welcome, excellent service, an incredible selection of whiskies. We went several times in the evening, and the staff were very welcoming. We'll be back next year! 😁

Passing through Marseillan, I stopped at the tavern located at the port. I had a wonderful time. I ordered a very high-quality piece of beef accompanied by perfectly cooked potatoes and grilled vegetables, which were excellent, along with a very good rosé wine and a vanilla and strawberry ice cream sundae for dessert. The service was truly top-notch from the entire tavern team. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. I highly recommend it.

During our visit to Marseillan, we stopped at La Taverne du Port and we don't regret it at all 😋 We had a starter where the duck breast was melt-in-your-mouth tender and very flavorful, followed by a perfectly cooked skate wing with a very soothing sauce. The chef came to us to offer advice, and the waitress was very attentive. This establishment is more than adequate. Thank you, and good value for money.
