This remains one of the most reliable eateries in Carcassonne, for lunch we almost always pick the daily special which changes with wide variety.
The outside terrace has plenty of shaded tables and offers a nice spot for enjoying a blanquette de Limoux glass of bubblies.
It is a popular place, so make reservations.

We came for petit dejeuner having just arrived then came on another day for dinner. Bread and croissant very good with the coffee but took ages to get service to pay. Our evening meal was good but not outstanding. I had the asparagus veloute which was under seasoned then lemon sole which was served with very salty spinach as a garnish. The sauce was amazing however and without the spinach I enjoyed it. My husband enjoyed the cassoulet. Nice terrasse.

After a first visit a few years ago, where we had a very good dinner, we decided to go back again during our trip to Carcassonne! It's still a very good brasserie, with beautiful classic dishes revisited by Michelin-starred chef Franck Putelat. The service was quick, friendly, and efficient. Special mention goes to the chocolate mousse, which was not too sweet and so light and airy – a real treat.

Very nice food! We thought it will be a tourist trap, but NO! I had great merlu fish with a very interesting sauce, we had cassoulet which was great, vitello tonato nicely assorted with olive paste! Overall i would happily go again!
Also wine was good! 🫶🏻

This brasserie had excellent Google reviews, which made us want to treat ourselves to a good, traditional cassoulet. Unfortunately, we were disappointed: the beans were still firm (undercooked), the portion was small with only a tiny piece of Toulouse sausage and a duck confit leg. The whole thing lacked flavor, and we weren't convinced by the price (€25).
On the other hand, the service was impeccable.

Excellent service and great food. Had the Cote and was served by a great Waiter Alexia (?maybe)
She was very helpful and gave good advice, spoke very good English and was knowledgeable enough to direct us to an excellent wine. The food was outstanding and would happily recommend to anyone.
10/10.
