La Tortue sur Honfleur

We had a wonderful time at La Tortue restaurant in Honfleur. When we made the reservation by phone, we mentioned that we were gluten-free. Once there, the staff seemed very knowledgeable about the necessary precautions and clearly explained which dishes could be prepared gluten-free. A large part of the menu is available as is or can be adapted. We enjoyed a delicious meal at a reasonable price (around €40 for three courses). The restaurant is located slightly outside the town center, which is actually an advantage: the atmosphere is calm, warm, and welcoming, away from the tourist crowds.

A truly excellent vegetarian dish. My husband and I had a wonderful meal. Fresh ingredients and pleasant service.

Great cuisine in a nice, compact ambiance. The chef is a true artist, because I think he is working alone. I have eaten the best duck breast ever here!

A reliable hidden gem in Honfleur. Highly recommended for quiet enjoyment of a meal beyond the Bassin's flashiness. Have come here for years. The proprietors have changed, but the commitment to hospitality continues. You will find a menu and wine list focused on quality.

We were absolutely delighted! This restaurant was the culinary highlight of our stay in Honfleur. The food was outstanding and truly on the level of a Michelin-starred restaurant. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of incredible flavors. The service was exceptional—warm, attentive, and highly professional. The wine recommendations were excellent and paired perfectly with each course.We visited with our 4-year-old daughter and felt genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive to her as well, making our family feel comfortable throughout the evening.For us, this is a true hidden gem. Surprisingly, there were very few tourists, which made the atmosphere even more authentic and enjoyable.We would return without hesitation and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Honfleur. A well-deserved 5 stars!
