I must confess before all that I am a return customer to this place every time I get a chance travelling to La Baule and its surroundings, here we are located at the West end of the Bay of Le Pouliguen, that circles a 5 miles long beach, with a beautiful sea view outdoor terrasse weather permitting.
La Voile d'Or is a perfect place to indulge, very nice and welcoming and careful staff, outstandind meals, good wine list selection at affordable prices, not taking advantage of you, and menu prices that are very competitive, starting with a 2 courses menu at 27 euros and the 3 courses one at 32 only. Hard to find better around here.
Then you might choose to upgrade to mre luxury menus starting from less than that makes your day.

We had a pleasant time. Very good cuisine, magnificent setting and great welcome. The difference does not scare them and above all the bosses are very tolerant and welcoming. We were with a PMR group and we had a wonderful time. Bravo to the cook for his meat of the day (side of beef) and fish of the day (sea bream), a delight for the taste buds. Remember to book because it is a very popular place. The only downside is the proximity of the tables when you are in an armchair. But it's a detail because we were very well received.

A little disappointed by this famous restaurant...
To accompany two glasses of champagne at 14 euros each we had a small bowl of vitelotte chips....
Menu at 53 euros: starters and main courses rather good and inventive, on the other hand the roasted peach pavlova... not up to par, roasted peaches too sweet and we're looking for them!
Finally no accompaniment with coffee...
The sea view is not everything!

Tout est dans le nom. Tout d’abord, l’accueil … irréprochable et professionnel. Puis, les plats … digne de grands restaurants. Enfin… la vue depuis la terrasse. Parfait endroit pour une soirée sous le signe du romantisme.
