Cafe Jules sur Le Pouliguen

This isn't the first time we've booked a table. As always, the warm welcome and cheerful staff made us feel very comfortable. The menu changes with daily specials, which is a nice touch, in addition to their regular menu which caters to all tastes. The "Café Jules à la Plage" salad was fantastic for those who, like me, love the combination of salmon, shrimp, avocado, and grapefruit with a delicious creamy dressing. My 4-year-old daughter had the children's menu, which was a good size. She also received a coloring book with crayons to keep her occupied while we waited. We appreciated this thoughtful gesture and the little jokes the waiters told her to make her laugh. My partner opted for their burger of the moment, which he found very good with a variety of flavors. For dessert, he had the trio of crème brûlées, and I had a Liège caramel. The salted caramel was amazing! Note that we go there in the afternoon during winter to have a crêpe for a snack. Don't hesitate, they're very good and the setting is really lovely!

While on vacation, we walked past the restaurant at 4:30 pm and asked for a table for two. The restaurant was full, but we were lucky. We were able to come at 6:30 pm and have an aperitif before the kitchen opened at 7:00 pm. The oysters, the accras, the mussels—everything was perfect. It's a place I highly recommend, and we'll definitely be back on our next visit. A special thank you to the brunette who greeted us and with whom we chatted before leaving. The Strasbourgers.

A great brasserie on the port of Le Pouliguen. A lovely, lively place. You feel right at home. The staff are very friendly. And finally, what you expect from a restaurant: we ate very well, with excellent daily specials.

Last restaurant of the week before hitting the road again… what a restaurant… a gem of kindness, a gem of flavor, and a gem of professionalism. The pressed beef was excellent with its garnish, the Jules crispy bread a work of art, a masterpiece… I indulged in the chocolate mousse, a very bad idea before hitting the road again 🤣🤤. Keep Léane's bucket hat, it'll make us want to come back 😉

An excellent restaurant, but the overall experience leaves something to be desired. I've been to Café Jules several times since the beginning of August, and I must admit that the food is truly excellent. The setting is chic and elegant, the dishes are beautifully presented, the ingredients are high-quality, and the servers are very pleasant, smiling, and professional. It's clearly a place where you can have a great time enjoying a good meal. However, there's one thing that bothers me more and more: the manager's attitude. On several occasions, I found her particularly curt, irritated, and sometimes even downright unpleasant, both in the way she spoke to customers and when she brought the dishes. This isn't just my personal impression: the people I was with also noticed it several times. I find this really unfortunate, because as a customer, you inevitably get a sense of the atmosphere in an establishment. And when the person running the place seems constantly tired, annoyed, or irritated, it inevitably affects the overall experience. I can't even imagine what it must be like for the employees who work with her every day. Another minor drawback: the prices are quite high. I completely understand that the restaurant uses good ingredients and that this comes at a cost, but having also frequented other restaurants in the area that also offer fresh, high-quality products, I find the price difference significant. So yes, the food is very good and the setting is truly pleasant, but for me, the value for money and especially the manager's attitude unfortunately detract from the experience. It's a shame, because with a warmer welcome and a more relaxed atmosphere, it could be a truly wonderful place.

A place where you'll find an original menu as well as an affordable lunch menu, in a setting that's both modern and welcoming. The à la carte menu is more expensive. The products are fresh and homemade. Beautiful view of the harbor. Friendly and attentive service. The salmon carpaccio is excellent, and the desserts... pure bliss! It's also a very pleasant spot on the terrace to have a drink while enjoying the must-try fried smelt in Le Pouliguen!
