Hello, We were familiar with La Voile d’Or until its closure, and on a recommendation, we decided to try your new establishment, Café de la Plage, last night. First of all, we were very impressed by the new decor, the welcome, the waitresses'/waitresses' attire, and the excellent service: attentive and responsive to the customer. Regarding the meal, here are a few constructive comments to help you improve your offering. The aperitif was perfect, and the savory pastries were appreciated. My ceviche was excellent, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. My wife started with the fried smelt, which was overcooked for our taste; less cooking would have allowed us to better appreciate the flavor. My main course was the cod, which was perfectly cooked. However, there was too much of a side dish—mashed potatoes and a few vegetables would have been welcome. The beurre blanc was a mere name, lacking flavor! My wife opted for the half lobster, a very small portion, and there was far too much mayonnaise in the shell. The small salad is a good idea, but served in a small bowl, it wouldn't soak up the lobster's seawater juices. The fries on the side, yes, why not, but they were definitely not homemade and very floury. The side dishes weren't "homemade" enough. The aperitifs (kir, white wine), starters, and main courses without dessert or wine—just a carafe of water—for €95 seems excessive to me. I hope you will take my comments constructively. Dominique

Candles or fairy lights would have been nice to warm up the atmosphere. The ceviche was excellent, as was the Niçoise salad. The dishes could have used a touch more salt.

Everything was perfect, from the warm welcome to the kind farewells. The food, the waiters/waitresses, the decor, the view, the very reasonable prices for such a beautiful place. The freshness and originality of the menu. Everything we love! Recommended by a longtime friend and to be recommended to everyone you love!

The decor is sublime, a modern take on 1920s style with plenty of space between the tables. There's a large staff, all readily available. The light fish stew was delicate and excellent, served with beurre blanc and crushed peas. The teenagers had two delicious hamburgers. (4 people: 2 adults, 2 teenagers)

A very warm welcome. Beautiful view of the beach. Very pleasant terrace. Generous and perfectly seasoned beef tartare. Excellent raspberry cake for dessert. One minor drawback: the wine list was out of date. Highly recommended.

A beautiful establishment in an ideal location. The cuisine is made with local produce. The service is provided by a young, friendly, and efficient team. You're sure to have a great time.
