we had a great dinner here on our last night in strausborg. this is a small and intimate restaurant with a limited menu, just how my dad and I like it. we especially appreciated the owner, who was willing to speak french with my dad. he was raised by quebec french speakers and the french in france are not always enthused when foreigners try to speak their language. ultimately, we were the quietest americans in the restaurant (low bar).
on to food. started with the beef carpaccio, which could have been a bit thinner but the nice pesto spread over the top of it made up for it. I had perfectly cooked steak frites in pepper sauce and my dad got the duck. we both throughly enjoyed our meal and had to finish with creme brulee. i would definitely recommend this restaurant to a friend. the owner made us feel like family and that is the key to good dining.

Really nice little restaurant, everything was perfect, the tab was just incredible, with a maître d'hôtel butter with Espelette pepper to die for.
A little nod also to the absinthe crème brûlée, a treat!
The chef is great, very attentive to his customers and friendly.
I highly recommend this place, as a couple, with friends, with family, you will not regret it!

Excellent. This cozy restaurant which is not on the main streets of restaurants is certainly worth recommending. We ordered the fried goat cheese and the burger. While the restaurant doesn’t look like anything special inside you’ll come here for the food. The creme brulee flambé is done with optional absinthe for the flaming effect. I prefer the flavor without the absinthe - it doesn’t burn off completely.
Things to know:
- there’s a limited menu so check the menu board first.
- It’s only in French but the waiter can explain in English.

Restaurant de type brasserie avec une carte courte mais tout est fait maison et la cuisine est goûteuse et le cuisinier passionné par son métier . Vient en salle et c’est particulièrement appréciable et rare. Le patron aussi est avenant et commerçant . Il peut y avoir un petit délai si le restaurant est complet car le patron (en tout cas ce soir là) était seul au service . Seul bémol qui est largement compensé par l’assiette et la convivialité du lieu . Nous y retournerons

Une soirée sympa avec de très bons plats (risotto aux asperges entre autres) et un service agréable et aux petits soins. Allez y et pas que pour l’absinthe!
