Very nice! The dining room is a manageable size with quaint decor, I love it. The menu allows everyone to find a dish they like.

I haven't been for two years, but I regret it because I found the kind of food I love. It's a shame they didn't have the rack of lamb with garlic that I adored! Oh well, too bad for me, but I personally really enjoyed the frogs' legs. You can go there without hesitation.

Far from the touristy streets where the restaurants are mediocre, here the food is homemade, excellent, and generous. The service is not overly friendly but very efficient! Limited seating, reservations are essential.

The Cordon Bleu is exceptionally good. The rest of the cuisine is also exquisite and very tasty. Not necessarily the best restaurant for vegetarians.

An institution. The welcome is very courteous, and the setting, with its Alsatian woodwork, is warm and tasteful. The dishes are Alsatian staples, perfectly mastered with finesse. The frog legs are a delight. The prices are fair... A great place

05/01/2026: I've always been delighted by purchases from Pâtisserie Schaffer. I've never been disappointed. Just to name a few: the iconic Honeycomb Cake...or their delicious Yule logs...so many other wonderful cakes and pastries...and let's not forget the vacherins and other frozen desserts! It's well worth the trip! I always find something to tantalize my taste buds... Recently, I tasted a chestnut tart, a true delight, worthy of the name! Congratulations! I'd also like to say a few words about the customer service, especially during the Christmas season or in the summer...couldn't they be a little more patient or understanding? The owner is a very pleasant person; we all have days when we're more stressed, and she handles things perfectly, even with the shop being so busy! Regarding everyone's opinions, let's talk about these young apprentices...take a little walk around and observe others in different places...the nonchalance of these young people is all the rage these days! Managing them must be nerve-wracking!! Also, observe the welcome given to customers in other shops, pastry shops, and bakeries in Obernai...you'll gladly return to Schaeffer for their delicious (and beautiful!) pastries, viennoiseries, ice cream...and the warm welcome! It's easy to criticize, but we can also highlight what's appealing and positive...
05/01/2026: The desserts were delicious and everything was incredibly fresh. The presentation was lovely and the atmosphere was pleasant. The staff were friendly and attentive. We had a wonderful time enjoying a coffee. 🍰☕

03/12/2024: Une ambiance typique alsacienne, un personnel très sympathique et des produits de qualité, vous voilà sans doute dans le meilleur restaurant de la ville. Prendre le menu à 39,5€ est la bonne décision, puisque vous aurez de succulents escargots en guise d'entrée, suivie par une entrecôte avec très peu de graisse. L'ambiance conviviale est un plus, mais il faut réserver en avance car les places sont prisées.
21/09/2024: We came to eat on Friday evening, the dishes were excellent, well done to the people in the kitchen 🧑‍🍳 On the other hand, for the waitresses in the dining room, the smile and the good welcome were very disappointing. The little young person in the room and the man was smiling and welcoming, but the older ones really seemed to bother them all the time... it's a shame for this negative point we won't be coming back!
