Excellent duck breast, lovely presentation, the side of small mashed potatoes was a very good idea. Very good value for money. Just one small drawback: a 45-minute wait for a single course! The welcome was warm, but it quickly became clear that the owner, who was serving alone, was overwhelmed, even though the restaurant was far from full. The cuisine was refined, but I was a little disappointed by the €45 "excellence" menu, as the mullet cooked in broth was flat. The service was extremely slow, and they even brought a carafe of room-temperature water when it was 34°C outside. For €10 less, I would prefer their competitor nearby, and I expected to dine on a proper terrace, not on the sidewalk. We will not be returning. Very disappointed.

We had a delicious meal and sat outside on the street for two evenings. There's nothing going on in that street, but the food was fine, and the service was attentive and friendly. Highly recommended, as there aren't many restaurants in Saumur. Most are geared towards the English. This was fine dining :)

Food and service were impeccable. A nice surprise find as we made our way through the region. I think the set menus provided excellent value, the level of cookery was very high. Only slight drawback was the stifling heat on the incredibly hot day we chose to visit.

Excellent, cozy restaurant with imaginative and subtle cuisine. The chef is a superb cook. The owner's wife provides attentive service in the dining room, where you can enjoy a peaceful atmosphere in a lovely tuffeau stone house setting.
