L'Amphitryon sur Colomiers

I came full of enthusiasm to this well-known restaurant. Unfortunately during the aperitifs we encountered problems with the menu, one of us ordered a vodka. Alas the boy comes back because there is nowhere more vodka. By changing we quickly realize that the chosen white rum is no longer there either, it starts off badly and the chosen rum is served to us with a pipette given the more than limited quantity. The choice of wine also I am not in the habit of refusing a wine chosen in advance but this one proposed seems stale to me I was not the only one to taste it and we had the same opinion. The entrance passes with discoveries then comes the dish I also put the meat served which for a very restaurant that this one is intolerable but companion also finding himself with nerves certainly less big I could not have been able to cut the meat. I could only complain afterwards to the sales manager about my astonishment and dissatisfaction with the quality of the product served. Certainly we were treated to a pre-dessert from the teams in order to make up for all of our discontent but the damage had been done, a disappointment the value for money in no way reflects a great restaurant. We were disillusioned, perhaps we did not understand the principle of the place and the experience offered, but our visit to your place was disastrous and you see me sorry because I was happy to eat at your place

We had booked this meal for two which was offered to us (86 euros per person). On arrival we were not found in the reservations! The welcome was not there even though we had received a confirmation email. However, we were accepted. The meal was delicious from starter to dessert. On the other hand, we did not enjoy any of the drinks accompanying the formula: aperitif, wine (2 types of red and 1 white) and especially not the local craft coffee. Too bad there is no alternative offered.

It was reported to me that the best restaurant in the Toulouse region was the Amphitryon, this establishment is now called “Des roses et des nettles”. So I was curious to go there with a friend. As soon as we arrive, we are welcomed with charm and kindness and we enter a bright room with a view of a terrace that makes you want to come back in the summer. Our very kind waitress explains to us in detail the composition of the daily menu. My friend does not drink so I chose the formula with wine pairing. The foie gras in artichoke shell and poultry was absolutely divine! I continued with a roasted duck accompanied by a delicious puree with shallots and Jerusalem artichokes. What a treat. ! I made the waitress smile when she asked my opinion on the organic wine offered by telling her “It’s drinkable. ". The dessert was on par with the other dishes, it is inventive, tasty, original cuisine that the chef offers us. I intend to come back as the taste possibilities and the setting give this restaurant a “come back” taste.

Never disappointed. Always very well received. Very refined and delicious meal

A very good time spent. The prepared dishes, very good! Top notch service! The same goes for the frame. For the small improvement, pay attention to the wine proposal for each dish, lack of standing in relation to the price and the dish. On the terrace, the swatters aren’t great…

Very pleasant welcome and decoration, I took the tapas menu, snacks: good, but could do better....

Very uncreative, boring brunch - we were not told we will be sharing some dishes - well.... - ham of very standard quality, chickpea fritter fried on old oil ... not good at all. Service on the low end. The only up to standard thing was the wine. 🍷

Fairly average quality/price ratio and expeditious service. Too bad, the setting is nice

For me, the dishes were not at the expected level for this type of restaurant.

Nous venons régulièrement dans ce restaurant pour nous laisser surprendre par le menu du midi. Prix très abordable et surtout de belles surprises et de délicieuses découvertes à chaque fois ! Toujours de bons conseils concernant le vin, service impeccable, bravo à toute l'équipe !
