Excellent cuisine made with fresh, seasonal ingredients; we thoroughly enjoyed our meals, as well as the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff and the owner. We highly recommend it!

It was very busy when we visited but the staff were exceptional in finding us a table and in their service. Food was fantastic, went for their fish of the day and steak, and worth the price. L'Ancrage is by the walls leading to a short walk down to the beach so lovely after dinner walking opportunities as well. Glad we went here!

We tried this restaurant on a recommendation and we loved it! Excellent value for money. Impeccable service. Delicious oysters as a starter, and the main courses—seafood sauerkraut and sea bream—were superb. The owner was very responsive to the staff. In short, a fantastic place!

A must-try in Saint-Malo! The fish soup is unforgettable; I loved the sea bream with its delicate vegetables! The table next to us had ordered a seafood platter that was simply magnificent. The owner is lovely, and the staff are warm and friendly. I'll be back 😊

08/05/2026: The welcome, service, tableware, and cuisine were all impeccable. The lunch menu was unbeatable; the only slight drawback was the slightly overly sweet dessert, but everything else was perfect. The wine was excellent. We'll gladly return this evening.
03/05/2026: Absolutely delicious, the staff is very welcoming and the atmosphere cozy. While it's fine dining, we would have appreciated slightly larger portions of some of the dishes on the menu; choosing them means missing out on the rest. Otherwise, the tableware was beautiful, and of course, the food inside was exquisite. We'll definitely be back to try the truffle menu.
