Expensive, but it's Méribel.
The restaurant is well located with a fast and well-stocked self-service area. The selection is good.

Food is ok but way overpriced for self service, especially the drinks.

Too expensive, €6 for soda and €5 for water, that's excessive.

A Hidden Gem in the Meribel Valley....
If you are looking for a break from the polished, high-volume dining spots that often dominate the Three Valleys, this family-run establishment is an absolute breath of fresh air. We visited with the whole family, and from the moment we stepped inside, the atmosphere felt fundamentally different from the après-ski party hubs nearby.
Location and Vibe
Conveniently located just one lift up from Meribel Centre, it strikes the perfect balance between accessibility and seclusion. Despite its proximity to the main hub, it feels like a well-kept secret. The interior exudes a genuine warmth that only a family-run business can provide. It’s unpretentious, cozy, and immediately welcoming—the kind of place where you feel encouraged to linger over your meal while the snow falls outside.
The Food
The menu is a testament to the beauty of home-cooked, homely food. You won't find over-engineered foams or tiny portions here; instead, the kitchen serves up hearty, soul-warming Alpine classics that taste like they’ve been prepared by someone’s grandmother. Every dish felt intentional and authentic, providing the exact kind of fuel needed for a long day on the slopes.
The Verdict
One of the most telling signs of quality was the clientele. While Meribel is a global destination, almost everyone else in the restaurant was French. In a resort this popular, seeing the locals choose a specific spot is the ultimate seal of approval regarding authenticity.
Regarding the cost, be prepared for "on the mountain" prices. It isn't a budget eat, but given the quality of the ingredients and the prime location, the value is certainly there. It was a lovely experience for the whole family, and we will definitely be coming back on our next trip.

A lovely restaurant/bar with delicious mulled wine and hot chocolate, which together cost a hefty €14.50. The location is, of course, fantastic, right on the slopes, and the ambiance and terrace are wonderful. The young lady at the bar was also friendly and pleasant. It's a shame the hot chocolate is served in a paper cup.

Top-notch mountain restaurant and bar!
Superbly located, friendly and family-oriented atmosphere, far from the glitz and glamour of some other chalets (who will know who they are...). Self-service lunch with quality dishes and a great selection.
Based on previous reviews, yes, it's a bit pricey, but check out other chalets... here, it's very affordable (dishes between €20 and €25).
Just a reminder, this isn't Flunch, but a mountain chalet in the world's largest ski area!
So yes, if you order a starter, main course, dessert, and four beers... your credit card will feel it... but that's true everywhere!
In short, my advice is to go and enjoy the sunny terrace in peace and quiet, without the noise or feeling crowded! Well done! 👌👌

Not as good as it used to be, portion sizes down, prices up. Lasagne wasn't as good as previous years, tartiflette undercooked and thin on the bacon, no option to add chips to your meal
Overpriced, under delivered
