A well-known restaurant on Place Carnot, with a solid reputation.
I've been to this place several times and have generally never been disappointed.
A safe bet if you're looking for a place without any unpleasant surprises, offering good value for money.
The sunny terrace is truly lovely when the weather permits.
On some visits, there may be slight variations, whether in the service or the cooking.
But overall, a reliable place that I recommend.

We had the three course plat du jour and all three courses were delicious. The starter salads were generous portions and very nice. Between us we ordered the lasagne, fish and duck for main and they were all lovely. The Nutella brioche for desert is divine! Service was quick as we arrived later for lunch and they wanted to close so were hurrying us out. Other than that it was a delicious meal and I'd return if I was in Carcassonne again.

The food was delicious; they had a vegetarian option, which was lasagna with vegetables, but it was significantly smaller than the regular version. However, it was still very tasty. The desserts were also very good. The waiter was friendly, but he offered us coffee and then scoffed when we asked if it was included with the meal, which made me uncomfortable.

Passing through Carcassonne, I found this restaurant to be out of the ordinary. The service was pleasant, and the daily special was phenomenal: venison stew with homemade fries for €15 – unbeatable value for money.
The decor is equally impressive.
A truly great restaurant.

We were given a table practically next to the one next to us because, according to them, we couldn't eat outside due to the rain, even though there were other people eating outside. We waited 30 minutes for our first course, a mushy stew and raw meat. The chocolate fondant was the only decent thing on the menu we chose. It was a less than ideal experience, but if you're just looking for a quick and filling meal, it might do. Those seeking a truly exceptional dining experience would be better off going somewhere else or ordering a different dish.

A pleasant little lunch.
