We arrived as a couple without a reservation and were greeted with a smile and promptly. The quality and quantity were excellent, and the price was reasonable.

Café Les Platanes

22/08/2026: Brilliant place in the heart of Isula Rossa (l'île Rousse). Thirty or more flavours of gelato, excellent coffee and good service. Sat here several days in a row and enjoyed life pass by. Just be carefull when you order an ice-cream dessert. They are enormous, so don't show up on a full stomach. 😜
22/08/2026: We were here on the last day of our three weeks in Corsica and had a lovely sunny afternoon. It was especially nice sitting under the trees in the shade; the waiter was very, very friendly, and the drinks arrived very quickly. Looking around the square, you can see that the three waiters have a lot of guests to serve in 35-degree heat (in the shade), and things can certainly move a little slower on vacation. No one ever died from waiting. Thank you for the wonderful stay.
