What an amazing place to visit. Food was wonderful, staff were very attentive and spoke multiple languages. They had a table of 20 to take care of and still treated us amazingly. The food was beautiful and couldn’t say any bad words about this place, stunning view on the river and very well lit through the night. Will definitely be visiting again on my next visit.
I’d imagine the atmosphere is amazing on the busy days but we did attend on a Tuesday, couldn’t complain.
Very affordable, make sure you leave a tip :)

A stunning setting with a magnificent view. A top-notch team, incredibly attentive. The "crying tiger" steak was excellent, cooked to perfection, and the sauce was truly delicious. And finally, the chocolate fondant was divine, a real gooey fondant, still warm inside. Thank you again! See you very soon!

What a revelation when you walk into this place! The terrace is sublime. The service is impeccable, and what can I say about the food? Fabulous. The "crying tiger" and the chocolate fondant are divine.

A huge thank you to Colibri for their warm welcome and excellent service. Thanks to them, we had a wonderful and emotional evening for our second marriage proposal. Cynthia and Ardouin were incredibly attentive, and Ardouin even made us a magnificent cake. Truly an exceptional restaurant. Thank you, the evening was unforgettable.

Excellent restaurant, the staff are super friendly and attentive. The food is very good, the terrace overlooking the Charente River is lovely and very shady. I highly recommend it, go for it!

Serving a flank steak for €22.50 with just a bowl of fries and sauce poured directly onto the meat—a sauce that wasn't even listed on the menu—is rather disappointing, in my opinion.
The dish really lacked presentation and attention to detail. Without meaning any disrespect to roadside restaurants, where you can certainly eat very well, it reminded me more of a dish served in that type of establishment than one offered at this price.
A small salad, a Provençal-style tomato, or simply a slightly more elaborate side dish would have really improved the meal.
For €22.50, I think one can expect more, especially in terms of presentation and the side dishes. It's a shame, because the meat itself was decent.

It's always a real pleasure to come to Le Colibri!
The welcome is warm, the service is friendly and attentive, with genuine kindness. The setting is very pleasant, and the terrace is truly superb when the weather is nice. As for the food, you'll find generous and flavorful dishes, prepared with care. Everything is in place for a wonderful time and to fully enjoy the moment.
It's always a pleasure to see this team again, to enjoy their hospitality, and to spend a pleasant time enjoying cuisine that showcases homemade goodness. A must-visit in Cognac, where we happily return and which we wholeheartedly recommend!
