Lau Tant'Hic sur Cauterets

A wonderful discovery, bursting with flavor and generosity! While passing through Cauterets, our small group discovered L’Authentico… and what a delightful surprise! We received a wonderful welcome from Papy Marco, a passionate chef who took us on a culinary journey through his Ecuadorian cuisine. Generous, flavorful dishes, prepared with fresh ingredients, perfectly balanced spices, and absolutely sublime flavors… A true delight for the taste buds! ❤️ Special mention also goes to Philippe, who perfectly assists Papy Marco. Impeccable service, great kindness, good humor, and above all, a sense of humor that contributes to creating such a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. We also had a vegetarian in our group, and Papy Marco took the time to prepare a beautiful vegetarian dish for them, with the same care and generosity. A truly thoughtful touch! And because we enjoyed our first evening so much, we returned the very next night! That's how much we loved this place. 😋 A huge thank you to Papy Marco for his cooking, his generosity, and especially for the heart he puts into every dish. And thank you to Philippe for his warm welcome, his service, and his kind words! We wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone who wants to discover authentic, generous cuisine bursting with wonderful flavors in a warm and friendly atmosphere. There were five of us adults who came for dinner on Friday, September 11, 2026. We received a very warm welcome; the manager was attentive, the service was quick, and the food was excellent. The menu is different from other restaurants, and it was a wonderful discovery. We highly recommend this restaurant and will gladly return. Keep up the good work! We had a fantastic evening and all five dishes were delicious!

This was our second visit to this gourmet restaurant. The welcome is warm, the service impeccable, and the cuisine authentic and high-quality, made with excellent ingredients. We will definitely be back.

A peaceful evening with a light late-summer rain. We were served by Philippe, a delightful man with whom we could have chatted all evening, and Grandpa Marco in the kitchen preparing tapas and dishes (trout with sauce and mixed vegetables) that blended South American and French cuisine to delight our taste buds. Thank you again for the warm welcome, and we look forward to our next visit! 😊

A wonderful time with friends. We received a very warm welcome, the service was excellent with great advice and invaluable help with specific dietary requirements (in our case, one gluten-free and one vegan). We ate very well, and a special mention goes to the waitress who was incredibly kind. Thank you for everything!

We found our regional dishes excellent: baby squid with chorizo, garbure (a hearty vegetable and meat stew), Bigorre black pig shoulder, and more. The waitress was very friendly. The meal lasted over two hours, but we weren't in a hurry and therefore took our time.
