Two friends and myself visited the area for a long weekend mountain biking in the summer. After swimming in the lake we had lunch at the restaurant and can’t speak highly enough for them. Food was great as was the service. But there was something so nice about the atmosphere. A real mix of nationalities, friends and just families having a nice time. The manager / owner seemed to have it so well organised. Well done and we will be back. Thank you Steve and friends from Wales 👏👏

Excellent restaurant. The dishes are affinities, worthy of a high-end restaurant. Very warm atmosphere and perfect service. We'll be back next year. Hervé and Carole Mallet from the Marne department.

After a two-hour walk around the lake and a round trip to the Ardent waterfall, I absolutely wanted to have lunch here. The setting is pleasant, with a panoramic view of the lake and the surrounding mountains. We received a very warm welcome; the waitress was very kind and answered our questions (especially about the frozen cheese platter, which I'll try on my next visit) and was very pleasant to us. I'll definitely come back, if only to try it.

Le Refuge des Brochaux

24/02/2026: Excellent restaurant right on the slopes! The staff are truly top-notch and the welcome is very warm. Despite the queue at the entrance, you can almost always find a table inside. A very varied menu with delicious mountain dishes at reasonable prices. The only downside: no internet… but ultimately, this allows for a real digital detox. A rare find for me: 5/5!

02/09/2025: If you've seen Gad Elmaleh's sketch about the €5 Coke, it's here! (See photo) You pay for the view more than the service. Beautiful location. You have to take the cable car to get caught on your drinks. Tip: Remember to bring a snack. The surrounding establishments are just as expensive. The goat village, on the other hand, is very pleasant.
27/08/2025: Very warm welcome and a great time with the family in this restaurant. Pleasant and fast service. We had a great time!! Special mention for the blueberry crème brûlée!☺️
