L'Authentic sur Annecy

The view of the river was beautiful, but I'm giving this rating because the salad 🥗 was damaged; the leaves weren't good to eat. My mother also ordered a salad (not the same one) and it was the same—not good. It's a shame because the restaurant looked nice. When I told the staff, they didn't say anything; we were impressed and paid for it.

A bit disappointed with this experience. Beyond the not-so-exciting and rather expensive dishes, the welcome wasn't exactly warm. Apart from one young and enthusiastic waitress, the rest of the staff didn't seem particularly enthusiastic about serving customers. We wanted to be seated by the window or upstairs to have a view of the canal, but this was refused with excuses like "the table is already reserved" or "the upstairs only opens when we have more people." The reality was quite different: no one came to sit at the "reserved" table, and several other groups were seated upstairs. To top it all off, when my mother asked for more details about the beer, the owner came over of her own accord to read each ingredient from the label, listing "water, hops, etc." How embarrassing! Considering that the only draft beer they had was 1664, you'd think they knew better than to know what they were doing. As for the rest, despite leaving at 1:45 pm, we had the feeling they were trying to get us to leave so they could close early.

We're from the area and discovered this restaurant while strolling through the old town. It's a well-established restaurant, but of good quality. We enjoyed the food and the very friendly waiter and waitress.

A wonderful discovery! This restaurant is located in Annecy's old town, on the banks of the Thiou River. The menu features excellent, fresh ingredients, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal! The young waiter was very pleasant and friendly. We had a very enjoyable time. Highly recommended!

We booked a table for 10 for lunch. We chose this restaurant for its rating, the variety of its menu, and the air conditioning (we were elderly and suffered from the heat). The service was good. The food was generally tasty. As for the air conditioning, we barely benefited from it. Seated there because "no other option was available," we found ourselves isolated near the entrance. Furthermore, we didn't get a view of the Thiou River. The air conditioning seemed to be working well for the other customers. We might go back... but we're not sure.

Good restaurant, fairly good value for money for Annecy. I recommend it.

It's a shame the owner of this restaurant doesn't accept holiday vouchers. As for the meal, it didn't live up to all the recommendations in the Petit Futé guide!

We had dinner there on Friday evening and were lucky enough to get a very pleasant table overlooking the Thiou river with a lovely view. The dining room is pleasant, and the waitress was very friendly. The wait between courses was perfect. We had a very good dinner, as always when we come; we have never been disappointed.

Excellent restaurant, very welcoming waitress and waiter. Very good meal with generous portions and quality ingredients. Excellent value for money, I will definitely return!
