Le 50 sur Chambon-Sur-Lac

The welcome was pleasant, the atmosphere and the place were nice. The food, however, wasn't entirely homemade, which was a shame, but still good. I didn't order the burger because the patty was frozen. Otherwise, no complaints.

We had decided to spend the day at Lake Chambon. The weather was perfect, and at noon we went to eat at Restaurant 50, located on the lake shore. We went without hesitation to this unique restaurant because Pascal, who runs the kitchen, is a talented chef who knows how to prepare traditional Auvergne dishes like Truffade and St. Nectaire cheese fondue. Three of my friends ordered bavette steak, a flavorful and very tender cut of meat. We had a wonderful time eating on the terrace overlooking the lake. Antonin and Rémy, who work in the dining room, were very welcoming, and I always say that for a good meal to be truly enjoyed, it's essential to have the right balance in both the kitchen and the service. We appreciated Chef Pascal coming to say hello at the end of our meal, and we were able to chat and have a pleasant conversation. Needless to say, we were all set for our walk around the lake. So, if you're in the area, before or after a walk or a paddleboat or rowboat ride, know that at Restaurant Le 50, you can enjoy a leisurely meal of delicious dishes and desserts in a natural setting. At Le 50, it's wonderful; there's no need to rush. Just take the time to relax, close your eyes for a moment while sipping a cocktail—there's a good selection—and consider your order; the menu is varied. Thanks to the whole team!

The service was perfect. Our four dishes were very good. I don't understand the somewhat harsh rating.

Beautiful view and good product

The upstairs dining room is good, at least. The staff are friendly and the food is quite good for the price in this area.

This is the second time we've eaten here. The flank steak was very good and the portion generous. €21.90 for a plate with fries and salad. The apple tart was excellent. A great place to eat.
