We tried Le 5ème Pêché one lunchtime in August, just after the Collioure festivities, a time when many local restaurateurs seem intent on maximizing profits by serving predictable, bland dishes at exorbitant prices under the pretext of being "by the sea." This wasn't the case here; the €36 set lunch menu (starter, main course, dessert) was full of surprising combinations, such as the excellent chocolate and white eggplant dessert.

Excellent food and definitely one of the culinary highlights in Collioure – a restaurant not to be missed.
The dishes were superb in flavor and beautifully balanced. The service was also outstanding: exceptionally friendly, attentive, and with a clear explanation of each course.
All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable evening and highly recommended!

The quality is unparalleled. It's worth making a detour just to go there. Having already heard about it, I absolutely had to go. Knowing they're not open every day of the week, I changed my hotel reservation to make it worthwhile. A unique menu, based on the market's catch of the day and local vegetables and herbs. Everything is incredibly fresh. Imaginative cuisine with sublime flavors. Aesthetically, each dish is a work of art.
The dining room is pleasant and the service attentive, providing all the necessary explanations without being intrusive.
It's hard to put into words how good it is. No surprise it's in the Michelin Guide. Reservations are essential, but remember, it's not open every day of the week.

Chef Masachi Lijima and his wife have been warmly welcoming us for several years to their charming restaurant in Collioure, much to our delight! The chef's cuisine is simply delicious and so original! Blending Japanese and Mediterranean flavors, each ingredient is respected and enhanced! It's always a true treat… 🧡 We unfortunately couldn't make it this year, so we're already looking forward to next year!
