The dish was very well prepared. However, €39 for the blue lobster with pasta is far too expensive, and the portion was quite small. There were only three or four pieces of lobster. A delightful surprise! We received a warm welcome and found the set menu excellent and the portions (starter, main course, and dessert) to be just right. The cooking was perfect and the presentation was elegant. A truly high-quality experience. We highly recommend it.

We went to celebrate my birthday, a very good evening with a friendly welcome (despite a very bad experience with the owner of a dog, our little Lady was accepted). But above all, the meal was delicious and original, made with fresh market produce! We will return as soon as we are back in Paimpol.

You won't find better value for money for lunch in Paimpol! Market menu at 25 or 30 euros for a starter, main course, and dessert, depending on the ingredients. I've been several times and will definitely be back! Fresh ingredients. Technical skill and creativity. Attentive service.

If you happen to be passing through Paimpol or the surrounding area, stop for a meal at "Le Balthazar" restaurant. The terrace was deserted, the heat too stifling, but the cool interior offered exceptional, sublime, inventive, and traditional cuisine that knows how to reinvent itself. That's what culture is all about: it's never static. Otherwise, it withers and eventually disappears. I've rarely had the opportunity to enjoy such a delicious meal, a truly exceptional experience at a very reasonable price. Because when you're on vacation, you don't count the cost; a little affordable pleasure is what life is all about.

23/06/2026: A delightful discovery! We first went there by chance and returned three times during our stay. We were thrilled with the quality of the food. A symphony of flavors; you can tell the chef and his team cook with passion, using excellent ingredients to enchant our taste buds. We received a very warm welcome from the entire friendly team. Michèle, the owner (who even concocted superb custom cocktails for us), and Nathalie in the dining room also shared their good humor and kindness with us. A big thank you!

15/05/2026: A very warm welcome awaits you at this tasteful establishment. The breakfast is very generous. Everything is homemade and delicious. The charming owner does the cooking. You can also have lunch or dinner. The dishes are delicious and also homemade. Everything is fresh, which is very pleasant. The room is spacious and very clean. The garden is lovely, perfect for relaxing on a sun lounger. The owner is very friendly and has a great sense of humor. She's the one who serves you. Always smiling and pleasant. Don't take advantage of her, though! They both have strong personalities. I'm really looking forward to seeing them again ♥️
06/02/2026: A very warm welcome and a perfect location, just a 3 or 4 minute walk from the narrow streets of the town center and the port: simply follow the pretty little stream. The breakfast buffet was very nice, and there's also a good restaurant in the hotel, but we didn't have the chance to try it.
