I've been twice in one month, which says a lot already 😂
The quality of the meat is incredible, there's also a good selection of sides, and the menu of dishes and drinks is varied. The place is friendly and the traditional atmosphere is pleasant. I recommend it.

In the heart of Old Lille, a very pleasant and quiet restaurant. The charcuterie platter was excellent (the best I've had in Lille). The servers are all very professional and welcoming. An excellent place to eat in Lille.

So, how to put it, a little disappointed. The mussels weren't cooked, I had to take them back to the kitchen to cook them again. The ice cream was supposed to be pistachio... I'm still trying to figure out what it tasted like. Apart from that, the staff were friendly.

Fantastic find!!
Top-notch service and a warm welcome, quality ingredients, and above all, generous portions!! All this at a more than reasonable price!
My only slight criticism is that it could use some background music, but otherwise, nothing to complain about.
(Bone marrow and croquettes as starters, hanger steak and Camembert for the main course)

Went fairly late (22h) but they were still serving -- open nightly until fairly late. Menu specializes in smoked meats and fish with most main dishes costing between 19 and 23 Euros: pastrami pork ribs, several fish options, and a nice choice of sides.
The restaurant has a pleasant casual exposed brick atmosphere. There is a deli counter for takeout (charcuterie: all kinds of smoked meats that can be sliced)
For my main dish, I chose the pork ribs. Although not extremely tender, they were very tasty. If you like the taste and texture of a smoked ham at Christmas (versus the slow barbecued pork ribs you'd find in Kansas or Texas), this is it! Sauce on the side was sweet, but not cloying; As for its level of “piquant": for an American palate I would give it a "mild-to-moderate" in heat.
Nice salad accompaniment. Meal comes with rolls (fresh and delicious) and a choice of several sides: I chose the braised endive -- which tasted like it was cooked long ago, and limply warmed over.
The real star of this restaurant was dessert. I've eaten Tarte Tatin all over France, but this one is easily the best I have ever had! The apples were smoked -- and that extra step adds a beautifully complex zing to a classic dessert. Smoking the apples should become the new standard for this dessert.
Will definitely come back to try the smoked fish; fish & chips & pastrami.
