Oh Gourmand'in sur Lille

02/05/2026: I ordered the steak because it is said to be the signature dish, and it certainly is a style I’ve never seen before. They debone the steak with a knife and serve it like rib meat, preparing it right next to you as if it were a performance. The signature steak comes with French fries, a sauce that looks like vegetables simmered together—probably ratatouille—bread, and a small salad. The steak was unique, and the accompanying items were generous, so I really enjoyed the meal. I also ordered an asparagus dish as an appetizer, which was delicious as well. Best of all, the weather was nice, and it was great to eat outdoors in a great atmosphere. It seems like a good place to feel like you’re on a trip to France while enjoying wine and steak in the sunshine.

18/04/2026: A friendly and welcoming atmosphere in a typical old Lille building. Friendly staff and a tempting menu! The ingredients are fresh and the specialties are simply irresistible. The side dishes complement the main courses perfectly! As for the wines, the extensive list will delight wine lovers! Le Fossile is an institution that comes highly recommended!
