Le Bastan sur Bareges

A high-quality self-service restaurant at altitude, a large fireplace and sofas (you have to be lucky to get one), numerous tables inside or on the terrace (when the weather permits), in short, a good spot for a good break!

Came here for coffee and lunch while skiing Grand Tourmalet. Having spent over a week going to all the places to have lunch we found this to be the best quality, choice and value of all of them. We had excellent coffee, vin chaud, beer, both salmon, green and cheese salads. A nice warm fire inside and outside sitting for sunny days. Excellent service as well - lunch starting at noon. Recommend

Excellent food, homemade daily specials, and a very friendly owner. Warm atmosphere. Excellent service. This deserves to be highlighted because it's not the case with some of its neighbors...

Good atmosphere at Bastan, reasonable prices, self-service system with trays. I recommend it.

Mountain restaurant with a great atmosphere and hearty, delicious dishes

Very good and very generous quantity, you can go there with your eyes closed.

It's always nice to have a meal on the terrace or by the fire, depending on the weather, between two ski runs.
