Le Bistro sur Chateau-Gontier

A lovely little bistro that I highly recommend. A great menu with well-prepared seasonal dishes, delicious homemade desserts, and excellent wines. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, not noisy, and you feel comfortable because the tables aren't too close together. I received a very warm welcome and the service from the owner was impeccable. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Château-Gontier. 🥰

Excellent little restaurant, as good as it is visually beautiful. I don't have a photo of the dessert but it was also divine. Original selection of beers with many craft beers that you don't see elsewhere, which makes up for the slightly high price of these (only negative point)

I go there every day, and it's always a pleasure. Thibaut is a real character: he always has a joke ready! Luckily, Manon is there to calm things down with her smile and kindness. Together, they create a unique atmosphere where you quickly feel at home. And what's more, the food is fantastic. The cuisine is generous, homemade, with delicious dishes that make you want to come back (and give you a great excuse to stay a little longer than planned). The magnificent frescoes add even more charm to the place. In short: you come for a coffee, a drink, or a good meal, you stay for the good vibes... and you leave telling yourself you'll come back tomorrow. And that's exactly what I do. 😉

We loved the welcome, the charm of the 1900s decor, and the small size of the restaurant, making us feel very privileged :-) In short, we highly recommend it.
