Le Bistro Charolais sur Saulieu

Very good hotel. The room was functional and clean with a comfortable bed. Very good breakfast.

Our experience, after a night spent at the Hôtel de Bourgogne in Saulieu, included a very pleasant exchange with our host. While the room was admittedly rustic, the bedding was impeccable. Impersonal hotel chains are not for us. We had a delightful encounter with the owner. It all started with a Cuiralatre counterweighted rotisserie that stood proudly in one of the dining rooms. We also learned about the creation of Courtepaille in Burgundy by Jean Loisier, the brand's founder. We learned a great deal and wish him well in passing on the torch; a lifetime of experience is priceless! One night from December 6th to 7th.
