A good restaurant, the food is tasty and plentiful, with a special mention for the foie gras. The wine list is extensive and the setting is pleasant.
Our only complaint is that the desserts didn't live up to the other dishes; the chocolate fondant tasted mass-produced and the floating island lacked any caramel flavor.
Finally, the price is high considering what the restaurant offers.
Despite this, it's a good restaurant where you can eat well in a pleasant atmosphere; you can go there, you won't be disappointed.

A very warm welcome and a very good dinner at a reasonable price.
The restaurant is very close to the medieval town, yet it doesn't feel like a tourist trap.
The duck confit was excellent, and the gourmet coffee was impressive and delicious.
The head waiter was impeccable: friendly, attentive, and offered good advice without being pushy.

An absolutely exceptional experience at Bistro de l’Octroi in Sarlat!
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with rare kindness and warmth. We immediately felt at home, with a caring and passionate team.
As for the food, it was simply a delight: we savored absolutely sublime Périgord specialties (a special mention for the duck confit). Each dish was flavorful, generous, and perfectly executed—a true culinary journey!
