We had a wonderful time last night at Bistro des Cocottes. The welcome, the meal, and the atmosphere were all perfect. Refined cuisine. Thank you to our hostess and the chef!

We had lunch at Bistrot des Cocottes during a weekend in Beaune. The two young waiters were very professional and attentive, despite the not-so-subtle reprimands from their manager… Simple and delicious cuisine. We highly recommend this restaurant. It's a pleasure to see such professional and dedicated young people these days.

Hello, The service was impeccable, the waiter was friendly, smiling, and offered good advice. The kidneys were delicious; for once, there were no mushrooms to deceive the customer. They were cooked perfectly, the portion was just right, and they were very tasty. However, the dishes weren't hot enough, just lukewarm (egg in red wine sauce, kidneys, mashed potatoes). Unfortunately, the croutons with the egg in red wine sauce were store-bought, which was a shame.

It’s just 5* second visit and again superb. The menu is very simple. Many local dishes plus others, all cooked to perfection. The wine list featuring Leflaive Batard to a simple Pinot noir. If you’re in Beaune and you want incredible without over the top flashy, this is your place. Yes yes yes loved it see you for the third visit next time!!

Crescendo restaurant

18/02/2026: I hadn't been in a long time, and I was disappointed with my visit. There was no more water carafe, so we had to refill our glasses and repeat the process several times if we drank a lot, meaning we were constantly getting up or choosing to only have one glass! The (large) lady at the entrance and dessert counter was pleasant and smiling, as was the gentleman serving the main courses. However, the young woman at the till was unpleasant and looked grumpy. The portions are always generous: the lasagna had a lot of oil but was still good, and the fish was too dry, which was a shame. The prices were reasonable, and the place was clean.
17/02/2026: For my part, just a little more effort on the variety of vegetables and you'd be perfect ☺️ A super warm welcome (from all the staff we encountered, from the front of house to the kitchen/dining room), which is becoming quite rare 🌺 Excellent evening, our daughters were delighted 😉 See you soon
