Le Bistro Regent sur Talence

Delighted with this restaurant. The dishes are delicious. The service is excellent.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere; I came with my family.

The servers were all very friendly and attentive. A warm welcome from the moment we arrived. The dishes were cooked exactly as we wanted, unlike at other Bistrots Régent restaurants (kudos to the chef!). Beautiful location.

Much better in terms of cooking than a previous restaurant in the same group. However, no ice cream dessert that evening...had you already cleaned the machine?

We've been coming here for lunch several Fridays now, and if I'm leaving a review today, it's because our overall experience is good, but there are a few points for improvement. The menu doesn't change, so we often order the same dishes, which we're happy with: the food is tasty and satisfying. However, two drawbacks stand out on each visit: The wait, both for our order and for the main courses and desserts. The lack of heating: every time we've been, we've been cold. We mentioned it on our way out, and we were told that the staff didn't really like to heat the dining room… but as customers, especially with a bill close to €90 for three, we appreciate eating in comfortable conditions. Also worth noting: when the restaurant is full, the dining room is very noisy and echoes a lot. UPDATE FRIDAY 28TH. My comment paid off: the heating (at least there was a heat curtain at the door) and the faster service for our main course and dessert were much appreciated. We ate comfortably and enjoyed the quicker pace of service, which also allowed us to get back to work more quickly after leaving the restaurant. Thank you!

Thank you for your welcome; the staff are extremely friendly and smiling, and little Zoé is very professional—thank you for her smile. The meat is tender and tasty.

Simple, good, effective and affordable

The duck breast was very disappointing... It was cooked perfectly, but there was no fat on top, which completely ruined it... The portion of salad served to our table of four was also tiny... It used to be better when the fries were generous and the salad was unlimited. This change in the chain a few years ago is very disappointing...

Let's call it a safe bet, even though the menu price has gone up again to €16.90. Be warned, the fries are declining in quality, both in terms of cooking and ingredients.
