The amuse-bouche was interesting, well-presented, and tasty (perfect egg). 👍 The shrimp starter: the shrimp flavor was underdeveloped and it lost its taste and texture when crushed. Veal: very good, both in taste and cooking; the garnish was average in taste and presentation. Clementine dessert: good. Petit four: the truffle was quite good. Coffee: good.

Impeccable service, but we were a little disappointed with the food. The amuse-bouche was excellent but could have easily served as a starter. The starter itself was too heavy. After that, we were already full. The main course arrived, with meat that was a bit too tough for my taste, in an overly salty sauce. And finally, dessert, which was very good in itself, but we had to force ourselves to eat it. In conclusion, the waitress was fantastic, but the portions were too large and lacked finesse and lightness.

We had a mixed experience at Bistro Urbain. The remarkable work done in the kitchen must be acknowledged. The presentation is very subtle and visually appealing, the dishes are beautiful. However, the result is somewhat disappointing. The flavors lack sharpness and depth. We don't want to criticize the chef, who is clearly dedicated to his work, but rather encourage him to explore flavors further. As for the dining room, the wait was far too long: over 2.5 hours for the set menu. Again, we don't blame the waitress, who was running around everywhere, but she was clearly working alone. Finally, a reservation regarding the wine pairing: offering Beaujolais Nouveau with a €27 set menu is inappropriate. No, we don't want such low-quality wines at that price, and a suitable pairing seems impossible. Sorry for these somewhat harsh judgments, but clearly, in this segment of the market, the competition is too fierce to overlook these kinds of mistakes.

Excellent food, but some dishes were a little chilly. The location and decor make the place a bit drab, but the main thing is elsewhere.
