Pastis Restaurant sur Montpellier

Pastis is one of those restaurants where you arrive with high expectations, and you quickly understand why. The service is perfectly honed, the cuisine is technically accomplished, elegant, and showcases the ingredients without being flashy. We opted for the €83 tasting menu. The value for money seemed reasonable, and the dessert was, in my opinion, the highlight of the meal. However, I missed that special dish that immediately makes you want to return. Special mention goes to the wine cellar, which is particularly extensive, although a few more recommendations to complement the wine selection would have been appreciated. I also felt that the bread sometimes took up a bit too much space as the meal progressed. In the end, an elegant, expertly prepared experience, brimming with skill. It simply lacked that little something extra that transforms a very good meal into a truly memorable experience.

Truly one of a kind dining experience. All the dishes were superb and were prepared and cooked to the highest quality. I am very impressed by the pairings and the chef’s creativity. This is a wonderful discovery in Montpellier and i will come back.

A precious moment. I came to celebrate my wedding anniversary with my husband. We had an incredible time. The setting is truly charming, overlooking the Place Sainte-Anne. Upon entering the restaurant, we had a direct view of the kitchens, where we were greeted with smiles and warmth. We were served on the terrace by an exceptional waiter. We opted for the evening menu with wine pairings. He told us the story behind each dish and each wine with an attentiveness that only those passionate about their craft possess. It wasn't just a meal we shared with my husband. We had a truly special experience in a place where we were genuinely pampered. Establishments like this are rare. Highly recommended. We will be back.

A truly timeless experience. We opted for the wine pairing, guided by the sommelier who shared the story behind each wine and dish. We were moved by every course. A well-deserved Michelin star. The chefs had left just as we were settling the bill. We would also like to thank them for this fabulous experience. Bravo to both the front of house and the kitchen!

A wonderful discovery in Montpellier. We opted for the wine pairing menu and had a truly excellent time. The dishes were as beautiful as they were delicious, with a real sense of harmony throughout the meal. Special mention goes to the artichoke barigoule with mussels, the seared albacore tuna, and the duck with spiced eggplant: original combinations, exquisite finesse, and above all, bursting with flavor. The wine pairings were particularly successful, offering some truly delightful discoveries and consistently excellent choices. The tableware, simple yet very elegant, perfectly complements the cuisine. As for the welcome and service, they were warm, attentive, and professional from beginning to end. The dessert was slightly less impressive, but that's mainly because I don't have much of a sweet tooth. Otherwise, it was remarkable. An address we wholeheartedly recommend and where we will gladly return.

We had a lovely experience at Pastis. The atmosphere was formal, yet relaxed and welcoming. The food was seasonally driven and every course felt like a nostalgic trip to summers past. The wine pairing was also fantastic and we were able to share one pairing between us which was very accommodating. I’d highly recommend this restaurant and I felt the value for money was exceptional.

I came to have lunch with my mother for the first time at this place, and it was enchanting. Everything was perfect: the delicious food, the setting (very original decor, elegant tableware...), and the professional and friendly staff. It was a pleasure to spend such a wonderful time.
