Le Bistrot de la Mer sur Mimizan

The starter took a while to arrive, but the rest was quick, which made up for the initial inconvenience. The main course was very good, the dessert was decent, but I was disappointed with the starter. The portion of the starter was too small. Overall, the restaurant is good.

Le Bistrot de la Mer is an excellent restaurant in Mimizan that I highly recommend. I came with my family for my birthday and we had a lovely time. The decor is tasteful, the food is delicious, and the staff is particularly attentive to our needs. Thank you again for your delicious cuisine and warm welcome. ☀️

A warm restaurant, pleasant service and expertly prepared cuisine

One minor drawback: the vacherin was served with a lot of alcohol. It's a shame we weren't informed of this when ordering. Otherwise, it was a very pleasant experience, and we will definitely return. Reservations are highly recommended for Sunday lunch. Accessibility during the summer season should be considered, as the parking is quite far away.

A very pleasant restaurant. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. The first set menu was €15.50 without wine. The welcome is always very warm. The waiters are more than pleasant, always smiling and offering a kind word, and they even had a little chat with the sommelier. The owner came to see us and asked how our meal was. A small touch that touched us: the owner offered us a sangria aperitif. I highly recommend it, but remember to book, as the restaurant is always full. We returned in September of this year. It was still just as good, but on the plate, with the sea bream fillet, there was a tablespoon of purée as a vegetable, which we had to search for. Along with a few warm salad leaves, we were very disappointed. We ordered a dessert, and the bill was rather steep. There were fewer people, so no need to book, and we understand why! But the waiters are still just as kind and smiling. It's a shame, but too expensive.

We've been frequenting this Mimizan institution for years, and it's always a great pleasure: the food is excellent, as is the welcome. I highly recommend it.
