Le Bistrot de Lourmarin sur Lourmarin

We had lunch and dinner at the Bistrot several times this summer, and each time we were charmed by the warm and professional welcome. The menu is varied, and the high-quality ingredients are well-prepared. We live in the area and have added this place to our list of favorite haunts (a term we affectionately use). We highly recommend it.

We ate very well. We were there again today for lunch, and I fully agree with the impression I had.

Despite negative reviews from other customers, we returned to this restaurant, which we usually only frequent during the off-season. The service was excellent; our waitress was very responsive, smiling, pleasant, and patient with the children. Regarding the food, I found it less refined or sophisticated than during the off-season, but perhaps this was due to the high volume of customers. The chef came over and inquired about our opinion with great kindness. We will therefore continue to recommend this restaurant!

The best Caesar salad I've ever tasted! Fresh, high-quality ingredients, very good service, it just needed a little smile from the staff to be perfect 😉. A quick, friendly visit from the chef made up for it 😃.

Visiting Lourmarin. The Caesar salad was a culinary masterpiece for me: three types of tomatoes and two types of chicken! Incredible!! The veal picana was also very good! I highly recommend it.

We ate at the restaurant on Friday the 17th in the evening. The young staff were very friendly and gave us excellent advice. We started with a tapenade to share and some other dishes. The food was delicious, we thoroughly enjoyed it, but the presentation made us think it had been rushed, even though there was a bit of a wait. The tapenade had soggy bits of focaccia, the picana had very few vegetables, and the chocolate cake was rather unappealing, though still excellent. We'll definitely come back because we had a lovely time on the terrace and left with full stomachs! Thank you to the team for delighting our taste buds, even if our eyes weren't sore.

Excellent first experience and will definitely come for a second next time. Ideally placed, not too loud, nice breeze and great service! The food was at the level of our expectations, kuddos to the new young chef. We will be back. Cheers
