I love eating at Le Derrière in Vannes! It's become one of my favorite places. The value for money is excellent, and the menu changes regularly, allowing you to discover new flavors each time you visit. I've been there several times, especially for birthdays, and the experience has always been fantastic. The setting is pleasant, the atmosphere is friendly, and the service is always attentive and professional. I highly recommend this restaurant if you're looking for delicious food made with quality ingredients and served by a welcoming team.

Excellent! The best burger I've ever had: the bun was like a savory kouign-amann and the pulled chuck was amazing. My partner had a flank steak cooked to perfection. The service was very friendly too, and they even offered a small digestif to top it all off. In short, a great place. Go without hesitation and with your taste buds wide open!

I love everything about this beautiful little restaurant. From the friendly, all warm smiles service to the food. We had slow stewed veal and octopus arm and both were 5/5. Even the children’s menu was excellent, with fresh chicken tender’s, home-made delicious mayonaise and fries that I would not mind representing one of the better fritures in Belgium (said as a proud Belgian). The interior is a bit tongue in cheek, with ‘derrieres’ everywhere on the walls. Reminded me a bit of the absurdist humor of the café’s in Brussels. Prices were very good value for money too.

A unique and welcoming place, offering a patio, an indoor seating area, and a terrace. The staff is very friendly and responsive. The dishes are quite original, made with local ingredients, and cater to various dietary needs, and the desserts are generous. We had a wonderful time and will gladly return.

The place is warm and bright, with several different atmospheres and decor options. The quality/price ratio is satisfactory considering the location. The staff is friendly. 15/08/2026: Fantastic! The welcome, the service, the meal was delicious. A pleasant atmosphere, a vintage decor that takes us back to our memories—honestly, well done! 17/08/2026: Excellent establishment; we eat there every time we come to Vannes. Never disappointed, refined cuisine. Friendly staff.
15/08/2026: We returned after an excellent first experience last year and were a little disappointed. The welcome was less warm, perhaps due to our 1:30 pm reservation. Speaking of which, avoid that time! If you want an aperitif, you'll have to be quick and place your order rapidly because the kitchen closes at 2 pm. Similarly, you'll need to rush your coffee and bill because the restaurant closes in 10 minutes. A bit rushed for a family lunch! In this case, perhaps it would be better to stop taking reservations earlier so that customers can enjoy their lunch in peace. The waitress was discreet but efficient! A carafe of water was brought spontaneously, which was lovely in the heat.
